Research & Publications

As a scholar, I examine the educational dynamic within religion and the religious dynamic in education.

This means that I do multidisciplinary studies. I have completed qualitative research on local athletes and coaches about faith and spirituality, along with another study into educational leadership and the mission of Catholic schools. My three published books are:

Trained in religious education (RE), I also examine curricular concerns provincially, nationally, and internationally. For instance, in the past, I investigated former RE programs in Alberta and critiqued the use of creation in Catholic RE programs on the continent and beyond.

I am grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Doris Kule and their support with the "Peter and Doris Kule Chair in Catholic Religious Education". Their generosity to the College has created an endowed position in Catholic religious education.
